Can anyone help out with this?? I'm looking for a monologue in a play for a female character one minute long. The play must be a stage production. Cannot not be musical. Cannot be a stereotypical female part about PMS or childbirth or womanhood. And can't be Shakespeare.. Anyone have suggestions??
Is the one minute a must? I've got five monologues (female) about 2 minutes long, maybe a bit longer depending on your delivery. Technically they're delivered to an audience but they could be delivered to another actor... just alter the stance....?
Age range is fine given the monologues were delivered by people aged 19-24, the topics aren't too depressing though not overtly happy as well though they're drawing from a comedic production set around relationships and music! And the female part would be one half of a couple... actually, there is one happy one, I can forward some stuff on for review, could be trimmed a bit...
Hello Lexia I have one its from east is east, the film and while its for a male character, you can't tell if you change one word (this is not even necessary)... I use it with Female students. I got it from a book "audition speeches for men". Its a powerful piece. If you want it I'll scan it for you.

Oh and just to complicate things, the monologue must be delivered to another character and not to the audience
