Well, I was actually thinking of the open nature of it. Hence "Open"
Dublin is just a place. I'd hope that we could attract people from outside Dublin. Is Dublin bad for the title, in this light?
Not sure if it meets what I'd term a "Camp". But that's "open" for discussion. :)
@ellybabes I like that too, Elly.. OTD. So much, I just plumped for opentweetup.com. I can create a subdomain for Dublin. Would like to give OTD a permanent home so we can get rid of all the messy signups on so many different services.. Centralise and simplify it.
Also, I'm sick of waiting for the tweetup.com guys to get their sh*t together.
Well - it's official now.. Any naysayers.. will have to start their own splinter group.. :) Not sure if I'll have it ready for Dec one, but I hope to have something live for Jan one.
Plus Open Tweetup Dublin is a bit of a mouthful already without adding December/January and possibly 07.. I'm prob going to keep end up calling it Open Tweetup.. Bold! btw "OpenTweetup" is a term that @maryrose coined..
So what date are we at? If we get the date right, we can get the location sorted easy. Actually a suggestion - I was at a geeks meet in Olyesha Wine Bar on Exchequer St. It's across the road from Fallon & Byrne, and downstairs they have this couch area - 4 couches around a coffee table, wine on tap and tasty nibbles too. We were there all night and the bill wasn't exorbitant. Could be a goer for Christmas mulled wine and nibbles? (I'll bring the mince pies...) Or alternatively, they do night skate sessions at the ice rink....

I think the Dublin bit is needed. Dublin TweetCamp (or twitcamp?) is better

Dublin Open-excuse-for-a-piss-up-and-a-sing-song-camp?

Hmm - I don't recall anyone gettting drunk at previous one.. We've all been very civilised. As for Karoake, that's on the table for the future

@lexia - I think a few of us we well gone at the tapas one - my hangover told me that anyway!
I'd plump for Open TweetUp Dublin.
I thought that OCC stood for Open Coffee Cork until one started elsewhere, always good to keep the location descriptor in there IMHO...

If you are "worried" about the Dublin-centricness of it, why not call it OpenTweetup December/January etc...

@runningwithbulls So what happens next Dec/Jan?
1 year, 12 months ago by lexia
eh? I mean Open TweetUp December, Open Tweetup January...etc..

@maryrose I'm not skating.. I'm more a "laughing at the edge of the rink at the brave people falling-type" person

@lexia get a few mulled wines into you and you'll be a dancing ballerina on ice....

@maryrose You'll be 10 mulled wines ahead of me by then, and be imagining it all :)
